Unicameral Bone Cyst of Os Calcis

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of unicameral bone cyst of the left calcaneal bone is reported.
The case is an 18 years old girl who has complained of pain over the left heel for 3 years.
Roentgenological study reveals a large cystic destruction involving the left calcaneal bone.
Curettage of the cyst and autogenous iliac bone graft were performed. The cyst measured 1.5cmX2cmXlcm in size.
The diagnosis of unicameral bone cyst was confirmed by microscopic exami-nation.
The postoperative course was uneventful and fifteen months after the opera-tion, she has no complaints and no evidence of recurrence.
